The new s2000 possible pricing and specs?

some pictures look decent, others have that ugly Acura nose. But I don't put much faith in internet rumors.
I didn't want to pay $45,000 for the S2000 in 2000 as it was a bit much to pay for a pleasure use vehicle that wasn't overly practical given our climate and short driving season. Chances are that I won't want to pay a multiple of that number at this time for pretty much the same reasons. I'll just keep modding my Ap1

The article says it is going to be competing with the Miata and the FRS/BRZ so it would have to be in the same price range category as them. That being said, I would expect it to be inferior to the AP1/AP2 since they are basically cutting the price in half. Half the cost = half the car IMHO
What might be nice to see is a base model that is in the price range of the Miata and FRS/BRZ, with similar performance and quality, and then a "Type-R" version that would be in the appropriate price range for them to be able to match the previous years or possibly improve on them. Even though the base model would be somewhat of a disgrace to the car, it might offer the selling quantity to justify producing the car and giving the opportunity to make the highend model option(which would be the REAL car).

^ yup their prototypes are always much nicer than the watered down products that eventually make it to market.

As far as I am concerned, they hit the mark with the AP1.
If you want to compare any later version of the car I would bluntly say it just feels different.
I kind of answered your question from a month ago Joey
But, I love both versions.
