I'd be terrified to drive a $80k car on the track
mmm, not me. A key requirement in any car purchase for me is that the car can be used on track. now, if I had 80K for a car, there's no doubt, it would spend time at autoslalom and the track. luxury be damned- all that matters is performance- oh, and having 3 pedals. I figure its embarrassing- an absolute embarrassment- to spend that much money on a car that you don't drive at the limit- look at all those people buying lexus' and BMW's and they only use 10% of the cars potential driving to the golf course- stupid waste. Do they think performance happens when the stop light goes green? Ridiculous. EVERY car needs to be driven on the edge many times in its life time. Every car needs to be driven to scare your passengers. Gimme a camry, and i'd still have it on the track, bouncing off the rev limiter, driving the car till the brakes fade- for a lap anyway.

make your money, spend your money.

But regardless, i don't have 80K to spend on a car. but if i did...

i'd buy fluky another S.

How much is everyone paying for insurance? My Civic and S come out to $3,872 a year with TD insurance. So about $322 a month.
That's not too shabby for two cars but could be less I would think. I actually don't know what my new rate will be on the S since I turn 25 and renew my insurance this month, but I'm in the $60 a month range now and hopefully will drop a little more.

My parents pay the insurance on the Camry and for my Mom as primary + my dad and myself as secondary, it's $107ish a month
Yeah when I compare rates with my friends I find mine pretty good. But I still think it could be lower. My rate hasn't really gone down the past couple years (a few hundred annually) which is annoying. Oh well, that's the price you gotta pay to drive

And your insurance rate is legendary, don't think any 24/25 year old could have that. Have you had your own policy since G2?

I turned 25 recently and prices dropped hard. I have 2 tickets and my rate is $145/month for the S. I was pleasantly surprised

THANU! how are u paying that low? aren't u in markham? I'm paying 180 at 30yrs old..granted i got 2 tickets last year but my insurance dropped from last year (yah LOL), not complaining though...maybe cuz of your AP1 to my AP2?

Desjardin.

You can always do some online quotes that don't require you to enter any personal information other than the date you got your G and how many accidents etc.

See what kinds of numbers you're getting elsewhere.

I have a clean record and have been primary on my car for rolling into 5-6 years so there's that.

Would anyone have coilover spanners in the GTA for sale or be able to lend them to me for a day?

Sooooo I finally got my mugen control arm bushings installed and the car properly aligned and wow it feels like a world of a difference. I also changed my rear toe arms (replaced with brand new OEM) and got the car dialed in for street duty right now and it feels a lot more tight and stiff then it did with the front and rear camber and rear toe all out to lunch and all over the place.

Here are my specs, used UK spec for the toe, and front and rear camber adjusted accordingly for flush fitment on AP2v1 wheels with 20mm spacers all around.

Front:
Caster: 6.0
Camber: -2.0
Toe: 0.00

Rear:
Camber: -2.4
Toe: 0.40 total (0.20 a side)
