sure is when i only live like 3 miles from work.

Now the car won't start at all. so either spark or fuel is part of the issue as well as perhaps a vacuum leak.

maybe i just need to buy a typeR.

Do it. It practically pays for itself after 18 years.

typeR would be a deadly daily driver but I'm hoping I can avoid car payments. April says maybe you need a new car.

Update SiR- remember for a no start situation, fuel or spark is likely the issue. So, the coil was bad or giving low enough readings (I used my handy dandy electronic tester to confirm). Replaced it. Still no start. Checked the ICM in the distributor and based on the FSM and measurements, says I should replace it too. I'll order one on monday- thankfully I get a jobber rate on parts.
Now the fuel pump primes and after cranking it with the pedal to the floor, could smell fuel- not an official way of confirming good fuel but keeps me from replacing more parts randomly. Suppose I could replace the fuel filter as it has not been done in 8 years.

Default Hit & Run

my car was involved in a hit and run today in my work parking lot in Newmarket . alignment is shot and obviously the damage is another issue

Be careful out there and people suck.

Your car was parked and they did that kind of damage? Check around for lot cameras.

I did and there is nothing. I'm sure which car did it because it was parked beside me the entire time I was working but cops said no proof.

If the deal is good, I would do it. The drive/scenery is amazing. I thought its crazy to drive back home but it ended up being pretty fun
1.Do a PPI
2.Owner signs over ownership
3. You must go to Access NS (MTO) together with the seller to obtain temp permit. If owner cant come, you must obtain a letter from the seller giving you authorization to get a Permit.
4. Enjoy the drive home
5. Once you are back home, you do safety and etest, and register the car in Ontario like you would usually do. Also get to enjoy tax savings as they dont calculate tax based on wholesale value for out of province cars
Some solid advice here. Too bad the car was sold before I could thoroughly plan things out.

Great to know this as it is something I can plan around for a future S2K purchase.
