ok cool. I was driving my blue 2016 Civic coupe one day on Highbury and had a silver ap2 S2000 behind me on one of the entrance ramps off Bradley, I always want to wave but no one would know I'm an S2000 owner. My s2k is a sebring silver ap1 , usually with a Mugen hardtop on it, blue jdm ap1 bbs rims, J's racing hood, it looks very different than your typical oem setup. I live in the Summerside area so I'm around Highbury all the time, but only drive it on weekends in warm weather months.

just quick note but on the casc.on.ca site under the for sale forum, andrew is selling off a bunch of spare s2000 parts- subframes, etc, etc.
I have no connection but saw it up - he needs it gone tomorrow apparently.

So this weekend I decided finally to make a maintenance tracker in MS excel after doing the oil change on my S2000 prior to putting her in storage for the winter. I really have been meaning to do it for awhile, something to track oil changes, air filters, cabin air filters, and other maintenance items for the S2000, my DD and my wife's DD. What initially started as JUST a maintenance file turned into much more; including all the costs of modifying/upgrading my S2000 as well. I have a pretty detailed MS excel file that tracks all my expenses, and have been diligent at keeping larger big ticket receipts etc.
Let's just say I wasn't surprised by the result, but it certainly gave me a 'reality check'. It is absolutely atrocious how much money I have spent modifying my car in the past 5 summers (purchased it back in May of 2013 for my 25th birthday). To be honest there was a point when I was a single guy working out east that spending $1000 on something for my car wasn't a big deal. But now as married man, working a 'normal' job, it's really disturbing knowing how much money I have tossed at a car. Don't get me wrong..I love my car, but if I could do it all again, I would most definitely have left it stock(ish) and spent that money alternatively. I'm sure some of you with modified cars may be in the same boat. After being at some of the Wednesday meets this summer, I guess I have some solace knowing that my car is no where near the most heavily modified car around, and so my number is definitely not as large as some others.
In review of the file, another noteworthy point was that although finally living and working this summer in the same place (spent most of the past 5 years in Newfoundland working), I managed to put on the fewest km this summer since ownership. I purchased the car with 29500km back in '13, it currently sits with 45200km, with only 2000 of those kilometers coming this summer (according to my records). I'm not sure what triggered this reduction in seat time, I hope it's not a loss in interest in the car overall.
Anyways, I guess this was a bit of a rant. Maybe it will spark some interest in others doing the same over the winter...

oh man I don't like playing that game. I've spent a bunch of money on my car as well and I'd hate to actually total everything.
I don't know how I ended up at this point either but it'll definitly need to slow down...
Because I don't daily my car in the summer I also have pretty low miles as well. I bought my car 3 years ago with about 76k and I have about 84k now...
Now I need to winter prep it as well but I might take it out this week for one last hurrah before actually putting her away.
