Oh yea... they'e cracked down considerably!
The thing is they've just recently opened up after being shutdown for noise for about a year or so, I think. So they are being extremely careful.
If you can get a decibel meter, you can test the exhaust yourself to make sure. The max is 102db. Basically read from about 4-5 meters from the back of the car and the side. You hit the throttle to bring the rpm's up to about 7000.
Essentially, you want to mimic your acceleration out of a fast corner. So you're 'hitting' the throttle to 7000, not gently working your way up there.
