Default People who Filled Their Engine Mounts, What Product Did You Use ?

I'm looking to repair 2 engine mounts, I know some guys here did theirs. I was at Home Depot today but those guys don't know squat when I ask for 2 part epoxy etc. If someone could give me a product name that would be great. I did a search on line but mostly found products from parts suppliers but I know Home Depot has some of the products that have been used here. Thanks for any reply.

I may be wrong, but I've never heard of our engine mounts being repaired? I know you can drain the oil from the rear diff mounts and add silicone??

People are filling their cracked/broken motor mounts with a 2 part epoxy? Like JB Weld? That stuff hardens to effectively soft rocks. It also cracks very easily..

Seems like a recipe for repeat problems sooner rather than later.

I believe 3M makes black polyurethane for a caulking gun.

I have repaired the lower engine mounts (which attach to the frame rail) with prothane polyurethane filler mold on my SiR. Its super easy to do and inexpensive. The top engine mount on the driver side just has to be replaced- I think I paid $50 USD from NAPA in pt Huron. I don't believe prothane makes one for the passenger side.

I "enhanced" a motor mount on my volvo using polyurethane out of caulk tube. Someone posted estimated hardness of a bunch of hardware store polyurethane. It seemed to extend the life quite well.

I used windshield glue on the mounts that were torn on my B-series. Worked amazing.
