Here's mine!

@FluKy: Can I just post your run on YouTube? Your FTD vid is quite long thanks to the re-run.

@LDubz735: That's a really nice overlay - what are you using?

Nice meeting all of you!

The FTD was 40.1xx sec set by one of those custom cars (can't remember what they're called). I think YEESH was referring to FluKy's fastest run at 44.xxx. I wish I could see where he placed in his class, but the results have already been wiped online.

Ah I meant personal fastest time!

Video online here: https://youtu.be/XZtpTxDRIKc

You can see everytime Fluky hits the brakes, my head bobs!

Cheers!

YEESH, you must be a really nice person to let mike beat the crap out of your car, or anyone for that matter.

He wasn't that bad to it. Nothing that I wouldn't do actually - it was interesting seeing how he was putting power down and to be honest, I think my clutch dumps did more to hurt the car than he did.

Plus, I learnt a heckuvalot from having someone else take the exact same car on the exact same course and see what I was doing wrong.

Only had 1 autoX event in the S2000 (picked it up in April) so it's a good learning experience! Problem with autoX is that its very difficult to glen any information by yourself without the use of a camera or a 3rd person outside of the vehicle. Mike provided a co-pilot view and a 3rd person view (when he was marshalling).

Trust me, if he was an idiot with the car, I'd give him da boot. But he wasn't and faith in humanity was held

ive never done anything like this.. but im interested
be like nike and just do it. Seriously. you can NOT have more fun doing anything else with your clothes on. don't expect to win- you won't be any good your first day out but expect to have fun. Leave your ego at home and ask for help. Competitors are happy to help newcomers to the sport. come out for a ride along at the very least and you'll be hooked. If your only goal is to win at all cost, you'll be sorely disappointed.

here's a link to the picton event a few weeks ago.

check out jvf1's posts as well on youtube.

see you there.

If you are going on Saturday, mind if I sit in on one or two of your runs?
[/quote]

sure! the early runs I'm happy to take people along. For the afternoon runs (run 5 or 6) i'm usually going for broke and generally won't- unless you weigh under 100 lbs. All I ask is keep stuff out of your back pockets.

see you there.
