Default Rear spoiler

My kids are considering getting me the rear spoiler for Christmas. (all those years invested in them finally paid off)

Anyone have any comments or pictures I could look at? Any thoughts on installation and overall esthetic appearance?

The only place that sells them is the Honda dealership, does anybody know of any after market product?

Take a look at this thread (second half of thread). A couple of folks were interested in my spoiler. It's a Neon spoiler which I had painted. I installed it myself. The end cost was about $300.00 Cdn. (I got a deal on the spoiler and painting so the real cost might be closer to $400.00) Any of the usual aftermarket spoilers you'll see on the board sponsors are way more money that the Honda one. Since your kids are buying it for you maybe this is not a bad thing. There are spoilers there that I would have liked more but I couldn't justify that kind of money just because it came with a "name".

Thanks, the flag got replaced a long time ago. Somebody thought it was kinda goofy anyway.

Looks a little too much for my taste.

Personally, my fave kit is the air walker.

Check the spoiler, it's very VERY subtle, and matches the body lines of the car.

Peace.

Looks great, I think the kids are considering the stock one from Honda. Not quite as elevated and runs flush with the trunk.

OEM without the OEM price:

Check the shipping cost before getting too excited.

The OEM comes from the dealership and is $450 Canadian installed. (my service guy is great, this is our 3rd Honda so he gives us deals on parts.) No shipping cost.

It works out to about $300 US. I saw the one at Handa and not sure if it is the same one, the OEM from Honda Canada is a bit smaller I think.

don't forget, all OEM accessories come pre-painted - no paint matching req'd (that's worth a few bucks right there).

i have the factory one and am actually quite happy with it - it fits nice.

regards.

btw, the one at handa IS an OEM item - no size difference.

dgivelos, $450 is good - especially since it comes painted - i think it's half hour labour to install.

see if they'll throw in the install

regards.
