Default Rebuild alternator

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has had their alternator rebuilt before, or can suggest a good place. I believe i am dealing with the rectifier/ diode problem. My Cluster, and radio keep flickering and turning off on me. Also have a CEL which i can't check cause my scanner can't link to the ECU, assuming there isn't enough power being sent to the OBD port. But before parking last year the CEL was a misfire. Not 100% sure if that is linked with the misfire, but i checked the plugs and coilpacks and no issues there, and the car does not idle weird. Maybe the problem i'm having is sending a weak spark? I'm just guessing here maybe someone could shed some light on this, that would be great. Thank

Throwing parts at the problem frequently fails to fix it. Especially electrical parts.

Have you been thru the trouble shooting procedure in Chapter 4 of the Service Manual? That's the place to start.

If you know the alternator is bad the most economical fix is probably a factory rebuilt Honda (Denso) alternator. Majestic sells it for just over US$300 and it's plug and play. But if your alternator is good the problem will still be there.
