Default Royal Purple fluids

Anyone used their trans and gear oil? I'm going to be changing my fluids soon and was wondering if anyone has used these in their trans and diff and how they liked them. I'm also going to be (possibly) switching to royal purple for motor oil as well and I was curious to see if any of you guys have had experience with RP.

Your not racing, no need. Use amsoil synthetic for the motor oil.

Its nothing special really imo. Overpriced/overhyped and barney coloured. You will get satisfactory results with any fluid after getting rid of the old stuff. At the price point of this oil, I would definately not mess around and go with Amsoil. Look around at bitog and make your own decisions.

Royal Purple is crap. As starchland said, it's overpriced. From the used oil analysis' I've seen, it is not as good an oil as the pricing and marketing verbiage suggests. You're better off using Penzoil Ultra, Penzoil Platinum, or Amsoil. As with the guys above, I currently use Amsoil full synthetic. Use Honda MTF II oil for the transmission, and Amsoil 75W-110 Severe Gear for the diff.

Anyone with a current Amsoil dealer membership here?
I'm looking to stock up on Amsoil and my membership has expired.
I don't mind purchasing another membership again as I usually stock up with 2 years worth of fluids, but if anyone else has one and doesn't mind picking me up some Amsoil, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
kookie

As far as engine oil goes Royal Purple is $12\L http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

Amsoil is $15 http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

I use Royal Purple simply because thats what the stealership put it in when I took it there for the first oilchange.

Amsoil or Motul

I used to run RP on my 04 TL, it was not so bad, but I liked Amsoil and Motul more.
My supplier carries RP before, hence I used it since I get for good price.

Now he deals with Amsoil and Motul, so I finally get to use stuff that I like
