S 2000

Sorry I'm new to the site but enjoy reading all the imfo. seems like a good group of guys . I live in the Wingham Ont. area in a small village named Lucknow .

I have always been involved in performance cars and sold my last one 2 weeks ago. Been reading on the S 2000 and mad a bought a 2007 which was on Auto Trader its the white one with 30,000 klm's .

The 1st owner used something on the rims that was too strong and dulled the smooth rounded surface and I wondered about powder coating them black .

I haven't picked the car up yet and never seen the rims so not sure of the make and the woman that owns the car is not all that familiar with them so wondered if any one would take a look at the pic of the rims as there is a close up and tell me if they are worth spending the money on as I have seen rims I like better but with the purchase of the car right now just no extra money for new rims . Thanks for your help and I can't figure out this PM stuff for contacting you so will you contact me by email. spinner16969@gmail.com

Black wheels bugger the looks of the car (in my view). Mine came with them.

The black wheels came off and reconditioned OEM wheels went on in a couple of weeks after purchase. .

Your wheels can be reconditioned is most major cities.

Black wheels with a white car can look really great, as Nick points out.

Might help if you post a link to the pictures.

Really depends on the colour
I have a yellow car and I think black rocks on yellow (bumblebee theme)

Gotta be generational! ;) Black wheels look like the hubcaps were stolen.

I have to somewhat agree. I personally would never get black wheels because I think for me there are better options (it is all very personal and vehicle dependent). If black wheels have to be used, I would only ever get a thin spoke wheel ( CE-28 ). Thick black spoke wheels look bad in my opinion (Work Meister). Again, to each their own...I like my graphite colour SL's on my GPW

There's no right or wrong here...wheel choice and colour is all personal preference.

I personally think that the detail of the rim is lost when finished in matte black. I have accentuated my V2's between the spokes and the rear hoop with gloss black. Looks like a different rim in the end. Be creative and finish them the way that you like.

I seen it somewhere about a year and a half ago, just had to do it. I still love my AP2V3's as much though, shows off the brakes more just like the AP1 wheels do.
