Nobody wants to see a kid dead because of something going catastrophically wrong. Could have been excessive speed, poor tires, mechanical failure, too much testosterone or any number of factors.

Nothing is going to bring that boy back. But we can learn something from this tragedy. Maintain your car to the high level possible, S2000s are unforgiving of mistakes.

If you want to go fast, come to the track and learn how to really drive.

That knowledge will open your eyes to the everyday dangers surrounding you on public roads.

RIP. Very sad to see, I've talked to the owner a few times before. Stay safe out there.

I've probably come close to making the same mistake before, bad judgment, carelessness, or just an unlucky chain of events, it can surely happen. This past winter I had a crazy 4 wheel slide in my SUV in a snow storm when I was over-driving for the conditions, I was very lucky not to have hit any objects or persons but I slid as much as that S2000 did.

RIP is the best we can say at this point.

this. I was telling my wife the other day, i’m more scared on public roads than the racetrack...maybe I’m not fast enough lol.

such a young life. My heart goes out to the driver. Whatever the cause, it’s so senseless.

when my wife comments about me speeding I often say that I speed to get away from other people, I feel less safe driving in packs of vehicles where you have more of a chance of getting cut off.

So was this driver a member on here by chance ?
