I can now say that this is a critical tool when driving in the US- I can't believe I never had one before. The 9500ix also has a rear facing detector. The 9500ix (mine is a 2015 model) has been replaced by a newer model which is better able to filter out the bands that the radar distance cruise control many newer cars are adapting. That's all fine, but you can pretty well figure them out. Where it shines is on the roads down in NC, GA, TN- the bendy, twisty roads generally don't have cars using radar distance cruise control. The new Escort units also have much improved sensing- infact now sensing 4 times the distance that the radar can effectively send the signal back to the radar gun.

So for now, it will collect dust until spring.

A few of my hooptie from this season. She's in storage but I'm keeping my fingers crossed the mild weather continues so I can take her out when I'm home for US Thanksgiving. Lots of changes in store this off season... I have a hardtop, HKS exhaust, diffuser, and splitter sitting in Boston that I have to figure out how to get home lol.
