I think it's crazy that I'm having a difficult time deciding given that from a monetary perspective these 2 cars are not even comparable, hell even from a performance perspective there's no comparison. There's a side of me that believes that the GT4 will put a smile on my face while carving up Mosport, TMP or even an on-ramp at 35% faster speed than the S2000. But is that necessarily better than enjoying the same curve in the S2000 at a lower pace?
What is it about the S2000 that is so damn engaging and pure? I have been on this forum since 2002 and have seen countless members sell their beloved rides only to have sellers remorse and get back into an S2000 just months later. I just hope I'm not going to be part of that group.

I was recently watching Motor Trend's 2015 best car video and the new Miata placed in second despite being the lowest performing vehicle up against cars that were 10 times the price point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=690&v=0mZBouwiYGU

My thoughts.
I always wondered why people went back time and time again to the S2000. As soon as my first S2000 sold I regretted it, it's down to the individual obviously but I never thought a car would have that much of an effect.
The GT4 is going to be an epic car, only you know if the cost is justified.
Good luck with your decision.

Your S is a real beauty! If you could swing it and keep both, that would be ideal! I'm sure the GT4 would put a smile to your face, I drove a Cayman GTS around a track and performance wise it's definitely a step up from an S2.
