Default Shop for Hard Dog Roll Bar Install?

Hey there,

I was all psyched up to hit the track this year in my 2nd year of ownership of my AP2 and found out that any well run track event citing ASN rules will crack down on convertibles without a roll bar.

So I'm making my foray into the world of roll bars and come up with pretty much only the Hard Dog as a proper route for safety and function.

Question is: Do you guys have this bar in and if so, did you guys use a shop to have them install it? If so, any pictures? I want as clean and as OEM-like as possible but all the threads I've seen are done by guys on their own - I won't have the floorspace myself to do it.

Thanks!

Well it is like this...

The roll bar Hard Dog or Rockstar Garage is pretty much meant to be installed without an interior. That said you can, and people do, and I did, put the interior back but in, you have to custom cut all the pieces and it takes hours and it is still cut up and not perfect. At best you end up with 4 gaping holes were the stock roll hoops came through the plastic. I have seen speakers put in there.

At the time I did not live far from Hard Dog, I forget the exact numbers but they were close to the following. How much to install the roll bar in my AP2? Oh about $500. Sounds great, does that include the interior? No. How much to put all the plastic back like the picture in your web site? An extra $2500.

If you don't have the tools or space to do it on your own, then be prepared to pay big bucks... especially if you want them to fit your oem panels back in.
