RACE RESULTS:
P. Driver
1. BARRICHELLO
2. RAIKKONEN
3. COULTHARD
4. BUTTON
5. TRULLI
6. SATO
7. DA MATTA
8. M.SCHUMACHER
POINTS AWARDED AS:
1st = 10 , 2nd = 8 , 3rd = 6
4th = 5 , 5th = 4 , 6th = 3
7th = 2 , 8th = 1
If Rubens had not finished Kimi would have been 1st and Michael would have been 7th, thus he would have been awarded 2 points. For Kimi to win, he needed all 10 points, and Michael needed to received 0. Therefore no matter how you look at it, Michael won his 6th championship, Rubens did not win it for him.
BEFORE SUZUKA:
MS = 92
KR = 83
IF RUBENS DNF AT SUZUKA:
MS = 92 + 2 for 7th = 94
KR = 83 + 10 for 1st = 93
CONCLUSION:
Last time I checked 94 was bigger than 93
Nice try Simon, but with Marco and I here, your logic falls short of reality.
Now change your sig or I'm coming up there to pinch your head.

Doug , Marco - This is why many managers and drivers are trying to go to McLaren.
After Newey-Gate, it seems this guy working with Ron will be THEE team to beat in years to come..

It is really sad how Pollock as you have described it, has not been as helpful to JV's career as he could have been.
Interesting info about Mika and David and Kimi, I was not at all aware of the PR demands Ron Dennis places on his team. And I guess from my point of view, good for him! Marketing must be a full time endeavor, especially for a leading team because of the constant flow of cash required.
And let me just say, WOW!
Now, in a perfect world if we could just get BMW to McLaren and Mercedes to Williams, life would be grand! I have never liked Frank since the death of Senna. Logic may have nothing to do with it, but too darn bad. It is my opinion and I'm comfortable with it.
It's going to be a great season next year, especially if we end up with so many races. And as it looks, my 1st driving school will be in May, so I should be able to go camping at Indy in '04.
