I found a nice slice in my rear window (01 roof) I dunno what its from. Either way, I need a new roof. Not worth just changing the viynl crap. So my questions are....If I want to put an 02 roof, is it just the like skin that can be replaced or do any bars or anything underneath have to be changed too (I'm not concerned about the defroster), also I assume I gotta get the new roof from Honda but any recommended places to get this done? I'd obviously prefer someone who has done a few S2000 roofs already. Thanks a lot

I assume that you mean the '02 roof is by wanting a rear glass window w/ your top?

I believe it's more than just the vinyl top, the mechanism and possibly the motor needs to be change as the folding motion between the two tops are slightly different.

I've also read that the older roofs tend to get worn down by the hinge mechanism with age (and increase # of times you open / close your top), if the "slice" was somewhere near the head rest and is only one or two inches long then it's not vandlism related.
