Speedstar Installation Sale.....

I got an email from Speedstar that they are offering a 50% discount on service / installation work. I've been storing clutch parts for a while I might just get it done ahead of time and take advantage of the offer. If anyone is looking for some installation work I'd hit them up , offer expires March 18th or something like that.

hmm just got a quote on starspecs from them :s

I would go to billman for the clutch work no doubt.

I would love that too, but it's 10+ hours each way, with New York traffic even longer, gotta factor in a hotel more than likely.

I've always heard good things about Speedstar's S2000 installation work, 50% off the price of a clutch job is a great opportunity.

Wonder if a clutch is considered an overhaul service at speedstar...

I wondered that too when I read that, but apparently it qualifies based on their response to me. I'm going to swap the starter while I'm in there, so they quoted to replace the clutch and starter under the sale promotion. It is about a third of the price my dealer wants to charge me.

are you replacing the clutch with an oem one or aftermarket? im looking to do mine this year also, maybe a lighter flywheel too.

I'm using oem Honda pressure plate, oem Honda clutch disc, and an act pro-lite flywheel. Honda bearings.

What is the shop cost for a flywheel swap anyway?

i asked them for a quote on swapping a diff... like literally just pulling it off and putting another one on. They quoted me with there sale $180 .......................................... i was told my one of my buddies that it calls for 2 hours of labour so would come out to 160... and that's their regular price. :s... maybe its considered an overhaul service. They didnt tell me though, the email clearly stated it was with the sale price.

Maybe they're including the cost of taking off seized bolts... even if they aren't seized...
