"The Sex of the Offspring is Determined at the Moment of Conception and is Unalterable Thereafter.
Sex of child is determined by the chromosome in the male gamete (X-or Y-). So it's mainly the father who is responsible for the sex of child. (Although conditions prevailing in the mother's reproductive tract may favour one of the two types of gametes, and hence influence the sex of the offspring). The external genitalia of foetus are not clearly distinguishable even upto the fifth month.
