Toneau Cover Fit

Toneau Cover Fit
Hi Southern Ontario owners. After the event at Stratford Honda on Saturday, I came home and tried to fit my toneau cover for the first time in about 5 years. Laid it in place in the sun to warm it but just couldn't get it to reach the fasteners on the roll bars. Is there a trick to it? Followed the instructions on the underside and in the manual, but no way was it clipping in. Any advice?

I can get mine to fit, maybe your top is not closing to the proper position? Mind you it is not overly easy. How is the condition of the elastic straps?

You will need to replace your straps or at least help the front bar when you lower your top. If your straps have any sag or have no tension when pulled down then they are not working as intended. Check the Modifry site, think they are about $20 for the kit. Good luck.

when you hit the top down button, reach up with your other hand and hold the bar over your head towards the rear for about 2 seconds. You will find the top colapses another 5 inches. New elastics will also fix it.

lol for a few months I was just pushing the bar down myself when it was half way to closing.
I picked up some rubber straps at dollarama and surprisingly it works and seems to be the same as modifry.
