I'm going to have to agree with O'mailey on this one...

A tune is nice if your very meticulous on how everything is running, pop a wideband in make sure your not running lean or too rich and usually good to go.

I'm running flashpro cause mines 2006 + so i'm pretty happy i didnt' have to go into crazy SETUPS and looking at Kpro looks like a nightmare for s2000's.

I'm sure my car would feel 10 x better with a tune but the money wise to tune it isn't worth it for me.

Unless your doing a big change like, forced induction, your main concern is to just make sure cars running healthy, I would say no tune unless yoru running, supercharger, turbo, or nitrous.

I've seen some of our cars with some nice nitrous setups and boy you'd be suprised what they can do

If I had an 06 I'd go with flashpro too. The fact that the OP has an ap2 motor in an ap1 with ap1 ecu, all that is needed is afr adjustments. So going kpro, aem ems or whatever standalone is overkill.

IMO, If you want to make power, the best bang for buck that i'm seeing is a EMS for this car.

You can drop vtec to gain a heap of mid-range and pick up some top-end from leaning out. Plus optimize your A/F ratios to take advantage of bolt-ons.

It will open up a ton of options, plus a AEM EMS v1 can be picked up for around 800 US.

If/When I get a s2000 and it's a AP1 or early Ap2 I will get a EMS, most likey before I buy ANY bolt-ons, otherwise flashpro

I wouldn't bother with aem ems v1. There are some issues with them. If your going to spend the money you could get a 1052 for 1k or less and their more reliable. Just think if it failing on you (which does happen with some of the 1012s) while out of town.

1052 is the revised AEM V1...

There is nothing wrong with the 1012 besides a larger box and slower startup/boot time.

.... even if god for bid any of your aftermarket ecu's failed when you were "out of town" i hope you would be smart enough to take 30 seconds of your time to pop in your stock ecu... the stocker is the size of my left nut, i keep it with the spare tire... right next to some pieces of wood just incase i needa jack the car up lol
