Default Used "JDM" BILSTEIN PSS9 Coilover Kits Worth it?

As the title describes, wondering if a used set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers are worth considering?

What do you guys think?

Or used BC coils?:

I don't see the adjusters on those Bilsteins, in which case they are just PSS not PSS9, still a great product but much less expensive. If I'm seeing the pictures correctly, I just don't see the adjusters on the tops of the shocks.

Not sure why the fronts have different coils on them, looks like someone swapped them out in the past ?. Why do they refer to them as JDM as they are all made in Germany, any idea of the mileage on them ? I'd rather have Bilsteins over BC generally speaking but it would have to be the right product at the correct pricing and in low mile condition.

My neighbour is an autocross and rally guy. He loves this website so he showed it to me. It is a UK website but the prices are pretty good and they are always having sales.

Here is a set of Bilstein PSS for S2000 going for 645 GBP http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfor...d-rear-10-35mm

Sorry to hijack the thread for a second, but thanks a ton for that link, that's going to save me nearly $600 on a set of shipped Ohlins before in a few weeks.

They call them JDM cause they must have shipped an entire S2 from Japan and it came on the vehicle. Thus, "JDM" import- Def. looks like someone swapped one of the coils for perhaps 12k/12k compression spring rate?! Who knows..

For THAT specific set that you see there, is it worth the $1100 price tag? I dont see the adjustable wrenches for the ride height with it either

I'm currently on a set of BC Type-BR coilovers - good bang for your buck.
Had them in my EG hatch a few years back as well.

They are actually pretty good for the price point, almost on par with the Tein Street Flex I had in my TSX (but a $800 price difference).

I plan on getting a set of KWv3 / something else in that price range next year possibly.
Don't see anything wrong with used coils as long as the seller is honest, they aren't blown and if they look like they are in good shape.

Cheers.

Thanks for the added info, that all makes sense. I don't think these coilovers are worth the cost IMO, and I suspect they are PSS and not PSS9's, so worth much less money than that. Never thought about the spanners, but that is a good thing to keep in mind if one is to buy such a kit, willing to bet they are not included.

To be honest, it's either the BC Coils (if he can find the wrench) for $850; otherwise I think i'm going for the Teins ... unless someone has a "super crazy deal" that pops outta no where right now ;\

Tein (he said hed do $1200):

Glad it helped. Their prices are pretty great most of the time, especially suspension.
