Oh yeah, I would price it well north of $250. Per day and limit it to 75km a day. I would tell my insurance company about joining Turo, and Turo themselves have an insurance policy that covers the car during the rental times. Ive read/heard that Turo renters are a bit more respectable with the vehicles Becuase they've meet the owners and understand this is someone's personal car. If you guys were to rent a higher end performance car, would you beat the crap out of it and totally disrespect it?

No way I would rent mine, also another negative - another source of income to be declared.

$250 for 75km's... i doubt anyone would rent it for that much money to be honest.

And yes...I would drive the crap out of any rental... and i have in the past.

Guaranteed a mis-shift on the first rental, and the piddly $200 you might get won't even be a drop in the bucket to pay for your new engine. Sell the car if you find that you are not using it as much as you would like. I wouldn't even let my relatives drive my S2000 let alone a stranger. This is a bad decision on so many levels.

What other reason would there be to rent a sports car?

I wouldn't purposely burn the clutch or do donuts in a parking lot if that's what you mean by disrespect, but it would be seeing a lot of red-line and I'd be testing the limits of traction. Which is why I'd never rent my car out to a random, and honestly, I think I'd probably be more gentle than most.

This post actually makes me feel a little nauseous. Why would you subject an S2K to that kind of abuse?

Someone lost his love for his car, time to sell and make another dream come true?

Please do not rent it out, the value will not be there in the end. Good luck with what you choose.

I actually have mine on Turo, and have had no major issues. Keeping the price high has attracted only enthusiasts, who respect the car.
