Default Would you list your car on Turo?

Since having kids, I haven't had a ton of chances to drive the S. I think last year I took her out 3 times. So I was thinking about renting her out on Turo. What's everyone's opinions on this? It'll be nice for the S to earn a little bit in the side, and have others enjoy this wonderful machine. My car isn't in the best shape, stone chips, and chipped paint and the interior is pretty decent. The only thing I'm on the fence about is the low mileage I have in the car (60000 km). What y'all think?

Honestly, if you have no issues with someone else driving (and confirm that your insurance company will cover you in case of an incident), I would list it higher than the convertible mustangs and see if it rents. Just be aware that most people renting an S2K will probably beat the living piss out of it, especially if they can hand it back at the end of the day.

Not something I would do unless I bought the car specifically for renting out to make money. Apparently the Porsche Cayenne is popular, cheap to buy and no one wants to beat it so it would be an ideal car.

Everyone knows about the S2000 and its high redline, so as a renter you can expect every shift to be at 9000. It will take a beating like no other rental. That's my two cents.

Short answer, HELL NO.

They will 100% abuse it. S2 is not a civic.

Could they actually rent it for the track? I would never do it regardless of car, I don't like people touching my stuff.

Once you're renting your car out for profit, your insurance company might look at that as a commercial endeavour and if you haven't reported that to them, you could end up with all kinds of problems. They would have priced your premiums as a personal vehicle (likely a second or third vehicle as well), not a rental.

I just reinstated the insurance on the S and they specifically asked if it would be used as a rental, ride sharing etc.
