I'm sure if you shop around you can get a better deal, what company are you with? When I first started looking for insurance, companies wanted 800/month,with one at fault accident. After some shopping around I got it for less than half of that. And it's going down every year lol, and this is in Richmond hill too

ps. What is your new car Mr Secret???!
I'm with Meloche Monnex and have been exclusively since I started driving since they give me a good professional affiliation discount. Lant Insurance is purely for pleasure driven vehicles and I believe the vehicles have to be of a certain age and you need 10 years of clean driving behind you and an alternate daily driver to qualify but it makes owning a car more affordable if you plan on rarely driving it.

P.S. - Here is a teaser of the vehicle being unloaded...

I am also with Meloche Monnex and I get the professional affiliation discount which is good for about 20 percent.

I also have my S2000 listed as a pleasure use vehicle which keeps the rate lower, since I have a second vehicle that I list as a daily driver and for work purposes. As long as you have more vehicles than drivers in the family you should be able to do that.

Meloche has been known to deny claims/drop coverage on modified cars (any intake/exhaust/coils/etc).. beware
