Just got the quote, very nice guy to deal with and amazing service. They do everything for you. However, It will add about $4000 to the price to have it sent here so It puts the car above what I want to pay...
Looks like I'm still waiting then.

Something about having to fax customs the paperwork 72 hours in advance or something? All the driving, getting lost, hotels... I'm too lazy for that kind of work =P lol.
Come to think of it, it does sound kinda fun.

I also want to find a GPW S2000, but it's hard to find an AP2 with the tan seats for under 17,000 in Canada, so I'll have no choice but to buy from the states. I know car dealers will most likely ship the car for you and go through all the trouble.

There is a really nice looking AP2 GPW with tan in Quebec with decent km (87k). Take a look at this link: here
It is $21,800 not $17,000 but in my opinion well worth the extra money. Also, I think it will be hard to find an AP2 for $17k.
If the interior was red it would already be in my garage =P
Hope that helps.

Buying cars from Quebec raises red flags for me.
I did the fly 1 way to Texas and drive back, it's not too hard and rather fun. But I would highly recommend going with someone else, the drive can get quite exhausting.
