Wtb: starter
I'm going to post this in the main forum to get more feedback on the topic.
I'm looking to buy a starter motor. Something preferably ap2. I get some starter grind maybe once to twice a month on cold starts. I replaced my Timing chain tensioner and modded it like billman250 recommends but I'm now pritty sure it's coming from the starter. Worth a try.
When I was on majestic hondas web page there popped up 2 part numbers. Revision 1 and revision 2. Now I'm wondering what the revision was?
Anyone with similar experiences? The noise is not a faint rattle at start up but a loud screech. Exactly like pushing the starter button after the car is already running.

I have this issue in the dead cold of winter...but since it hasn't happened since march, I'll wait until the winter.
Call Richmond Hill honda, ask for Shane, tell him your from JDMRides and he'll give you a fair price on a new one....
if not, try xtremeautomotive in ottawa/quebec, they deliver bodykits to the GTA daily and apparently have 10 s2000 part cars there...
I bought carpet from them before ^^

I have the EXACT same thing...
Someone told me it's moisture on the belt.
Makes sense cause it goes away right after start and doesn't come back unless i've left it overnight in the cold.
does the sound last for a long time?

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but this is the only thread that I could find (and coincidentally local too) that has people offering a solution to this issue. Has anyone found a solution yet that doesn't involve replacing the starter?
