i was speaking more to stability as a funciton of residual snow, some ice, high winds.....as we know, there are many days where road conditions are good enough to permit speed limit driving....

i have driven with same size snow tires at all corners, but with high winds and residual snow/ice on the ground....let's just say that it becomes VERY labourious - the amount of concentration required is immense.

as soon as i got the proper stagger back, it was smooth sailing....literally.

we actually will, when we go to winter drag fest.. I think my idea which I stole from the prairie redliners about having a Winter Drag Fest will be a good educator for winter driving, while having some fun. I have the place picked out, just have to wait until we get snow dumped on .. (I actually hope never, but .. )

good write up. this is my irst year with the S. I plan to drive it as much as I can whenstreets are dry. I went for the BRS LM22 for the better performance as opposed to the snow and ice qualities of the ws50

I agree with what your saying and your points are valid, but for me personally theres something about storing and knowing that it has never touched salt. I love the feeling of bringing out on that first nice day knowing its been sleeping for a couple of months. To each his own I say but indeed a very good write up Simon.
