03 GPW with tan for sale

Well. It's hard for me to hang on to a GPW S when my heart is in another place. Especially since others are looking for one. I'm selling this so I can get into one of the BB for sale.

This was a US car and has a rebuilt title from theft and the actual title is "Salvage" as the car was broken into in Maryland. Soft top was broken into from the driver side and the trunk, spare tire, seats, radio, and car jack was stolen. Insurance company wrote it off. As well the driver side rear fender was damaged by the crowbar that was used. Salvage titles are non structured damaged vehicles that were rated as 75% of cost to repair to the value of the car. I have the carfax for those who are interested or you can order your own if you want the VIN.

The car is not a "showroom" vehicle and it has its wear from over ten years and the KMs. It needs to be resprayed from the minor rock chips and a new soft top since it has the typical worn out areas. I also bought Reapurs GPW bumper since I tore the Greddy lip off mine and I had to repair it. This bumper comes with no extra cost as I was going to get it repainted over the winter (still needs to be done).

I've priced the car accordingly to accommodate this. I also wouldn't want to screw over any one in this community as s2k owners have one of the best followings out there. Especially since I'm not leaving the family... Who really does?

Price: 10,000.00 as is. It needs nothing and between my buddies wedding and my anniversary I won't be able to get out and do it. I have my etest which is still valid and I can hand it over.

Current KMs: 146k
Recent work done: oil change at 143km, replaced the passenger rear hub, bearings and studs at 140k (shortly after I bought s2kt3's ap2v1 wheels) and I plan to do the driver side shortly to keep them at the same km range. Driver side currently has extended studs and I wanted to change it all once I got new wheels. Ask Lee. My mugens before were terrible.
Rewelded my right exhaust tip since on the rubber fittings fell off and melted it. No leaks. This was done last summer.

I've also posted photos off all the faults. I will have engine bay and interior photos soon.

Mods: cold air intake. The make is unknown as the previous owner installed it. Also have the stock air box.
Ap1 replica spoiler. Fits like a glove (see photos).
Lowered on tein springs.

My name is Darryl. Pm or text. 905 550 6075.

Thanks.

If this was not salvage it would have been exactly what I am looking for. A GPW that is cheap and not perfect so I don't have to worry about it and I can fix up what I want. Close but no cigar for me... What a summer... Good luck with the sale though. (Maybe I should change insurance companies...)

So what if it's a salvage, in this kind of way. It was a theft recovery salvage, not an accident salvage. Isn't that exactly something up your alley? I don't understand :ponder: I thought you wanted an s2000 you can actually drive, I can see this one as perfect for you

^ I can't agree more, as long as its documented that it was from theft and not an accident, especially at 10k I think its perfect

He contacted his insurance company and they told him they don't insure any type of rebuilt title.
which kinda sucks since i would have sold it to him two months ago if they never said that. Maybe you do need to switch? lol.

i dunno why you wouldn't insure it somewhere else (if that was the only thing)

Maybe I'll make some calls today. The thing is I dont want to pay a ton somewhere else without the 2 car discount, loyalty discount, my union discount etc. Well, maybe when I call I'll be surprised. Only one way to find out.

I hate insurance companies though.

^Check out Desjardin, they offered me a huge discount compared to my previous insurer (statefarm) Paying ~82 for full coverage, 1000$ deductible and Im 23 with one claim (wasn't an accident but vandalism regardless)

Wow, 6 star driver, no claims, no tickets and the best I could do was $120, multi-car/home/association discount too..

It's like the Insurance companies go, "Hey, since they're in Oakville, they must be rich! Let's give them even cheaper rates!" ;)

This will get bought up quickly. OP you should sell it cert/etested.

I plan to. I'm working 10-9 for this week and next weekend is my anniversary and the weekend after is my best friends wedding. Once those are done I'm getting it certified as I have my etest from before. I wanted to put it up so people know about it.
