It's ok, everyone is entitled to an opinion. We made this poll to ask for honest answers. It won't affect our sales one bit since we have more headlights than we can work on (12 pairs total) and s2ki members from ALL OVER THE WORLD that send them to us. We recently got another pair from a member "down under" in Australia. One set is going to an UK owner next week.
The lights are a real eye-catcher and if done right on a properly modded car it would look very sweet
The real advantage is that it draws virtually no power and gets you noticed which is exactly what DRL's are meant to be. I don't mind negative criticism if done tastefully. We have certainly seen our share of cars that are not to our cup of tea but we still appreciate the hard work. A lot of body kits are pretty dis-tasteful in our opinion even though people pay $$$$ for them.
Mods are what makes us unique, just like baggy jeans or or bobby socks
P.S. Look for updated pictures as we finish each set of lights. No two sets of lights we build are usually the same as each owner has their own taste. If you want more info click in one of our vendor threads in our signature or shoot us a PM. We respond to most PM's within one day and pride ourselves on custom work.
Local s2ki members in the Norcal area are welcome to drop by and see our demo cars first hand. This is one of those modifications that is hard to photograph and looks way better in person!
Visit our site: www.euroboutiqe.us
thanks!
Another one-off sample for a client, notice the different?

i have doen this before and opened up my headlights again yesterday to remove some that were broken and replace them. got them apart and found out the auto shop just wired them up incorrectly. they weren't blown like i had thought. so now i'm planning on doing a surround on the high beam and projector using a side emitting strip.
i agree all the above examples look rice because you can see (!) the strip in the housing. that's tacky in my opinion. i ran my originals underneath the shroud on the very bottum so you can't see them really, they are in the seam with front fascia.
pics, because they are worth a thousand words. check me out on instagram to see more from this endeavor @ktotha999
wanted to mention i also kept the stock chrome bezel around projector, taped it off. unfortunately since the car is 13 years old, some the chrome paint from the factory came off. now i'm looking to find chrome paint and spray that tiny part. anyone have suggestions for sand paper grit? i used 400 grit first time old the paint. it scored it. i'm thinking using water? or should i get higher grit? i figured once i have the things apart, i'll take my time and do it right. gotta raise the car some too!
this one is with the lens cover removed, they a hid much better once thats on.
also painting the shrouds semi gloss black, before they were painted with gray ceramic but it looked sorta green and drove me crazy with the smoked corner lenses.
from the original opening to show yall what that looked like
i'll post up some more when i'm done. wish i had found this thread sooner. also got a thread with a thin mint- like mod to the tail lights AP1 too. i didn't see his before i started that one either.
edit 1: spelling. also sorry for the crappy 3rd pic.

^thanks for your pictures but we have done LED's in both ways. Each set of lights can be customized based on customer prefernce but I can honestly tell you majority (90%) of people prefer the LED's on top since it distributes light more evenly. When you have it aimed forward, it must be perfectly aligned or the lights won't seem as bright if off even the slightest bit.
We stick with the most reliable setup for our customers
We also do custom work such as this matte black painted trim ring:
Finished product with JS2k clear lenses installed:
More LED setups from happy clients:
