Hmmmmmmm

APEX | New Forged Sprint™ Line - Lightweight S2000 Motorsport Wheels-ep94wtz.png

These the new 200 TW Contis? Do you have any pics of the fitment? Would like to see how wide it runs compared to the Yokos and how that affects fitment.

To be honest I thought the red car was 17x9.5+51 at first because I thought it looked very similar to my car but in those additional pics it does look much wider.

I know this is an Apex thread and it's a bit of a faux pas but here's my current fitment.

Attachment 141116

Running F-3.2*/R-3.0* camber. Makes me optimistic that I can fit the 17x10s.

Some offset UCA bushings seem to give enough clearance it should work. Upper camber arms would also be an option.

^That tire picture looks like an editing mistake. Looks like an A052 on the car with either a Conti or RT660 shadowed in on the inside.

17x10 +48 with 255 square is a relatively "easy" fit for a functional track car.

Definitely need to do a minor bit of pulling, but nothing major.

Do an image search for
"17x10 +44 CE-28N S2000"
or
"17x10 +45 CE-28N S2000"

There's a decent amount of pictures that you find on that fitment.

The passenger side of the car has different wheels/tires installed. If we're pressed for time during a photoshoot, we'll often install two different pairs of wheels and tires on each side of the car to capture more content. In these photos I believe we still had the vehicle owners personal wheels on the passenger side.

Oh, so it's actually just the rear wheel running a different tire. Nice!

Cool to have another offering for S2000s and one I'll consider. I haven't brought myself to want to roll my fenders aggressively yet but my autocross class is dictating that I should.

Great to see more sizes but still not seeing anyone making an SST competitive size though. I think we're still going to be pushed into the custom route if we want to run 265 or 285. Understandably the market for an 18x10 or 10.5 with a high offset would be very small.

any evidence showing a 265 a052 on 18x10 is faster than a 255 a052 on a 17x10?

I doubt there would be a significant difference in that case although I’ve never seen a case where less rubber is faster in autocrossing. But vs an 18x10.5 with 285, yes the 285 would absolutely be faster. Under SST rules you cannot pull or do the rear tab relocation (flat roll is OK) so I don’t think there is a 17x10 that would work in that case either without a higher offset.

I also do not think you can get a 285 under there without a tab relocation but happy to be proven wrong.

in any case my car is being built for Scca Tuner 4 and not autox so i have no dog in that fight.
I've given up on autocross for the s2k and have no intention of attending nationals again with it in ST.
