Thumbs down HeelToe Auto's Locking S2000 Top Latch Button !

Hi Everyone!

We are now going into production with our Locking S2000 Top Latch Buttons that was first introduced in the modifications forum : https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=835771

They will come in both anodized black and red at no extra charge. Not to mention sticker to warn others that your hardtop is secure.

A little background:

These are designed by us at HeelToe auto to stop any potential hardtop thief or potential break in. With the popularity of VIS, SEIBON etc hardtops many S2000 owners have invested in a hardtop, and we want to protect that investment. Our goal was not to over engineer an already well engineered piece (Since I don't think anyone can design something better than an OEM piece) We wanted to keep the lock very clean, simple, but yet effect method to secure these hardtops. Not to mention, offer them at a very good and affordable price. And this is what we came up with.

We have then in stock currently and shipping (get a shipping quote directly from our site)!

Machine out of solid aluminum.

This picture compares the OEM button with our Fastline Button.

What will be included with a pair of HT Locks:
A pair of our HT Locks (Black or RED)
A pair of keys per lock
A pair of Security Stickers to deter thieves
4 security bolts for the Strikers/Catchers (Special Key requires to remove, and different variations will be sold)

Please visit our site to order and see the different options and pricing points (and shipping quotes) for our HT locks, they are all in stock and will ship out immediately!

Thanks! We wanted to make something as OEM as possible with no risk of having rattles or creeks down the road. Plus...how can you beat the RnD work done by Honda? Plus with OEM latches there are easy fixes if any rattles do occur. Plus you get stickers you can put on your window to warn potential theives in the first place!

No problem Alberto! We are working on the catcher/ striker protector and if we can make them at a reasonable price, we will be including them free of charge with our HT locks!!!

Just wanted to remind everyone on some of the specs of our HT Locks.

This HT Lock is machined out of a SOLID piece of Aluminum. It replaces the button with this solid piece and locking mechanism secured in the middle.

You cannot depress this lock, instead a button will pop out when the HT Lock is not armed, when you push the button it it is locked. You will only need the key to unlock the HT button.

Can these easily be removed once installed?

Also, you are saying you might include the catcher locks you are developing with these? So if we get these now will we also get the catcher locks or should we wait until those catcher locks are available before we order?

Also, any chance at a group buy if enough people signed up? I would probably get in on something like that....

Hi,

Thanks for your interest!

The locking mechanism is very easy to put in and replace, you don't even have to remove your OEM latches! Takes maybe 2 minutes to do Very easy, but secure! That is one of the things we wanted to keep in mind when designing a lock, easy for anyone to install! And taking it out is just as easy, never have to remove your latch except for the button.

We will include security for the strikers/catchers, not necessarily a locking mechanism. But security so that someone cannot easy remove it. For free with purchase!

Not to mention you get to choose red or black color, and also get the security stickers (a pair) with order.

We want to make a proper deterrent that is clean, OEM like, and uses as much OEM components as possible while making it easy to install.

All components should be available to ship by the end of January, however we might upgrade the locking cylinder for better security and that would only set us back a week or two

I'm curious to this aswell.

200 seems to be spendy for a small piece of locking aluminum.
