was this suppose to come with an extra bolt? my shift knob wants to screw down more but its cutting into my shiftboot (shiftboot doesn't seem to go any lower).

Try 'unrolling' the shift boot at the top and then push the collar of the boot as low as it can go.

When I had the original knob the boot collar was folded up inside itself. When it's like that it made it too thick to fit over the thick part of the shifter.

I attached some pictures to describe what I meant. It is pretty snug against the boot and the shaft so I didn't use any of the supplied nuts. I'll drive it around for a little bit and see if it moves on me.

This is a very nice upgrade! I just replaced the clutch fluid and regressed the shifter as well. This puts the finishing touch!

I have a question, does it need a locking nut to have the shift pattern align? Or does it align perfectly itself torquing it down? I could use a a lower shifter to rest my arm shifting!

It uses 2 jam nuts that fit inside the shift knob to align the engraving. Takes a few trial and error attempts usually.
