We sell a lot of Öhlins DFV and although we hear almost nothing but great things about them the single recurring comment is that the rear damper doesn't allow the car to be lowered to the ideal height. Regardless of if you are running high spring rates for the track, enough preload to achieve ultimate performance on the standard springs or even trying to live life hellaflush, the standard lower mount design leaves a lot to be desired. We recommend a high amount of rear pre-load with near standard spring rates (8-10KG) when setting up the conventional DFV suspension due to the limited available stroke. 10-30mm of spring pre-load is needed to obtain an optimal balance of compression and rebound and stay off the bump stops for best ride quality. This does come at a cost however, as it will limit the amount of ride height adjustment the can be achieved. As pre-load increases, the damper length must decrease to keep the car at the same ride height. Unfortunately the standard lower mount does not allow the car to be lowered as much as many people would like, especially with the correct amount of preload. This is where our mounts come in!

The FPSpëc remote damper adjuster for Ohlins DFV's allow for full control of your dampers, with a simple turn of a our remote panel mount knob, anodized to match Ohlins suspension. With care to design and detail, we custom engineered every component in this kit to reflect the quality of Ohlins suspension. Simply slide the lower billet hard-anodized aluminum cap over your standard gold Ohlins adjuster knobs and fasten in place with the set screw (ball end allen key included). Insert the remote adjuster cable, and run to the desired panel mount location. Add the remote knob and you're ready to roll. All parts designed and manufacturered by SakeBomb Garage. Our high-flexibility remote adjuster cable with low friction PTFE sleeve allows for fine tactile control of the damper knob (you'll still feel every click as if you were adjusting the damper directly). After driving and a good few track days adjusting your suspension with the OE wrenches is nearly impossible. Adjusting cars became a chore and we couldn't handle that, so we needed to fix this.
