clutch pedal has leak "" UPDATE""
5/14/16 installed the master with no problems utilizing all the tips everyone provided.... going to the slave cylinder. it looks slightly different than the one i have ??? anyone knows the difference they were suppose to be OEM ?
on my way home yesterday clutch felt so spongy, and has a very low engagement. checked the clutch master cylinder no signs of leaks there. leak is by the clutch pedal.
question now do i need a new master cylinder or a slave cylinder replacement?
thought the slave is on the transmission housing ! correct me if i'm wrong.
note, i read a few posts by billman saying that it's normal and all i need is gravity bleed the system ?!?

Not so fast........it is common for the clutch master to leak at the push rod seal inside the car. Replacement of the master will fix this if there is indeed fluid in the foot well. First clean up all the fluid, its very very corrosive. The leak is caused by old brake fluid. Suck all the old fluid out of the master, flush the system, attach a colostomy bag to the end of the master where the leak is so you dont get more brake fluid on the floor. I zip tied a rubber glove to the end of mine. You would never know it was there. Sometimes the fluid flush fixes the leak and sometimes its too far gone and you need to replace the master. Keep a bottle of brake fluid in the trunk until you determine the leak has fixed itself.

It's the master leaking inside. Replacing master and slave is not difficult. Flushing the fluid often can help prolong the seals. If you have an ap2 consider getting an ap1 slave.
