clutch pedal has leak "" UPDATE""

If you plan on tackling your own master install just consider yourself a mechanic and get some line wrenches. You can bleed by yourself no problem if you squeeze a hose over the bleeder and run it into a cup. One of the master nuts will make you hate cars forever. Dont let anything fall behind the kick panel. Unhook the battery so none of your tools can short out any of the connections under the dash.

Dead Serious is right about the bolts. I had one drop and then slide under the carpet. What a pain. Have a magnet handy.
A long wobble extension will help get to the bolts. I had no problems there. Just don't drop them

5/14/16 installed the master with no problems utilizing all the tips everyone provided.... going to the slave cylinder. it looks slightly different than the one i have ??? anyone knows the difference they were suppose to be OEM ?
AP1, AP2 differ slightly. '00 - '03 use one style '04 - up use another. Where the hose & pipe attach to the slave cylinder are located in slightly different positions and the bracket for the slave is a bit different between those model years as well. Both slaves will work on the car but there may be some issue with the hoses & bracket if correct one not used. I switched the one on my AP2 for an AP 1 but ordered a SoS clutch line specifically for AP1 when the swap was done and ordered new pipe (the metal line) and bracket new from Honda. You can get all new ones online for about $50 (both line, pipe, bracket). PM me to tell you from where. Folks local prob have some parts lying around. I may be able to point you in right direction for used too. PM me.
on my way home yesterday clutch felt so spongy, and has a very low engagement. checked the clutch master cylinder no signs of leaks there. leak is by the clutch pedal.
question now do i need a new master cylinder or a slave cylinder replacement?
thought the slave is on the transmission housing ! correct me if i'm wrong.
note, i read a few posts by billman saying that it's normal and all i need is gravity bleed the system ?!?
