Default Need a little advice

Just a piggy back off of someone else's thread i already posted in.Came down on orders to Fort Campbell and will be reporting there in March.Yes i know its 7 months away but I was 2 days from closing on my new house before i found out this new info....therefore purchasing a house will be on the top of my priorities list when i get there. Can you guys lend me alittle advise on some nice parts of town to live in.Figured i'd live somewhere between Clarksville and Nashville.Willing to drive about 20 minutes to base each day if need be.Looking to go no higher than $185,000 on a house.Theres just some criteria to give you guys an idea of what im looking for.Have family in Nashville but not familiar at all with the Fort Campbell area. Thanks in advance.
Bill

Well, Nashville will be about 45 minutes atleast if you live on the north side. You are better off in Clarksville, But there are some pretty nice area's there. I'd look around the exit #4 area. It's got the shops and what not, and is like 10-15 minutes away from the base.

Forgot to mention, you should be able to find a pretty decent 3br/2ba 2 car garage with decent lawn for like $160-170. Some might even be down in the $150s

Depending where you are in clarksville, its 15 minutes. Could be as close as 5, so it just depends

Yea, springfield is pretty nice. From my place I can take backroads and kinda go through springfield..

Bil, exit 24, is 24 miles from the TN/KY line. But, the base is a little ways off the highway depending on what way you go.

Springfield is south or north from Clarksville? Is it on the TN side?

just pay attention where you look in springfield. its not the best everywhere. research your area. ive done a ton of work there. id either stay in clarksvegas or pleasant view which is closer to the istate then springfield.
