Calling Slows2k.....how long does it take to reset the ecu to pass emissions? Miles, start cycles hot or cold ect......It threw a check engine code last night. blinked while just at idel the went solid after a few minutes.

I recorded the code this morning at autozone then reset it. Drove a while, started and stopped a few times but never cooled down. Emission testing failed because the ecu has only been able to effectively monitor/test 5 of the 7 paramiters. The 2 that still have not been tested by the ecu are 1)evaporative system and 2)secondary air system. any chance of this eventually ready to pass emissions today?

Oh, the car did sit on jack stands for 3-4 months, none to very little gas and the gas cap was very loose. I started the car for the first time and it ideled rough. Did this a few times over a few minute period then shut if off to add fuel. that is when I noticed the gas cap.

Thanks.

This the yellow one Rob?

If your gas cap was loose, it will throw a code. My S did the same thing last year when the emissions lady didn't tighten it enough.

I'm fighting the same issue with the BMW but According to the BMW service techs (don't know if honda is the same but here's the cycle for BMW's)

Yes the yellow one. Start and stop 4-5 times over 30 minutes and reset 5 out of 7. the two remaining, not reset. called tricket and they say three days of cold to full opperating temp before all readiness codes will reset. Drove about 35-45 miles and did not throw another code yet, we'll see tomorrow. Had to go to marta and fail in order to get a temp tag just to drive for those 3 days. Oh yeah, my tags were expired. Driving to Barber for the IRL with temp tags

Cleaned the car up tonight and tried a few shots.. didn't come out so good but thought I'd post one of them.

So after the dragon runs, my car has finally settled. It lowered itself around 1/4" more. It does rub on all 4 corners under very VERY hard cornering.

Nice - I need to wash my car something awful. Interior is a mess too from having all the windows/roof open.
