Anybody want 4 used OEM SO-2s?
 

I have a full set of used OEM SO-2s available for any of you auto-Xers willing to make a reasonable offer and come pick them up. The fronts are almost partially bald (no cording or anything, though), and the rears aren't to the wear bars yet (close, though -- maybe a 32nd or two to go? An upside-down penny in the middle of the tire goes into the tread past Abe's hair and to the top of his forehead). I might need them after tomorrow. I'm going to look at an S2K for sale in SA that needs new tires. I sure as heck wouldn't pass up that price!!!

Hey Audball, just wondering what happened with the tires. About how many miles do you think are left on them? I am looking into purchasing a used S2k that is in need of rear tires (and fronts wouldn't hurt). Are there enough miles left on yours to warrant using them or would I be better off gettin new tires?

Hey munckee -- I would just pop for the new tires.... The S-02's get a little greasy when they get worn down... Mine have no where near the stick they used to when the car was new. Mine are on the wear bars already, too, and have been on the wear bars since the car had about 7300 miles on it (now have 8800 and am driving a little more sanely until I get my new ones installed).

Thanks ricky, I'll keep that in mind. I didn't realize that Audball's tires were so close to being used up.

Yeah, he said he only has 1 or 2 32nd's before being on the wear bars.... Judging by how short the tire life is on an S2k, that's maybe 1500 miles or so? If I had to guess....

'course, that all depends on your driving style. If you're like Chris or myself, where we are tail-out all the time or drive extremely hard, that could be even less.
