"SHOWCARS 4 KIDS would like to invite you, your family and friends to join us in taking 30 kids with cancer on a wild car cruise from San Marcos to the state capitol in downtown Austin. We are looking for the hottest and fastest cars in Central Texas to join us. However, all vehicles must be in a show quality finished condition. Please no work in progress, no visible damage internal or external, and no hotroding or unsafe acts while in cruise or at any of the locations.

On June 15, 2005 we will meet in South Austin at 7:45 am in the Blockbuster Movies Parking lot off IH-35 and William Cannon. From there at 8:15 am (SHARP) we will head out to the Activity Center in San Marcos. There, we will pick up the kids and have a police escort up IH-35 to Slaughter Lane. From there we hit Congress and head straight through downtown and to the capitol. The escort will block all roads and intersections for us. We will have our own parking with security to watch the vehicles and have a tour of the capitol with the kids. After the tour we will meet the Speaker of the House and maybe the Governor himself! Lunch will be provided for us at the capitol. We should be done around 2 pm.

There is NO COST OR REQUIREMENT to attend other than all vehicles being in a clean show like shape. However, we are looking for a couple of good businesses to donate $300.00 each to purchase T-shirts for the kids and all drivers. If you know of a company that would like to help out please let us know. We will have full color graphics, business name and logo on the back of 100 T-shirts. We also encourage you to bring any advertisements to pass out to the drivers. Your spouse and or children are encouraged to come along. We do ask that during the cruise from San Marcos to the Capitol you give The Sunshine Kids shotgun. "Ok all the Sunshine Kids Cruise To The Capital is back again. We need HOT, LOUD, WILD & FAST CARS / TRUCKS of all makes, models & styles to give kids with cancer the hottest car cruise of all time.

On Wednesday, June 15th we need 35 bad to the bone vehicles to take these kids from San Marcos to the State Capital for a tour of the capital and lunch. There is no charge for this event and lunch is provided for you. All you have to do is clean up that hot rod of yours
and give a kid with cancer a time they will never forget.

This event is like no other. One group of vehicles will meet in Austin at
7:45 a.m. while another meets in San Marcos around 8:30 a.m. By 9:00 a.m. we will all be together and 30+ kids and Sunshine Kids staff will be boarding our cars. Then we will drive back up IH-35 to Congress and then all the way right up to the front door of the Texas State Capital. We will have every intersection, roadway and on/off ramp on the freeway blocked for us. Then when we hit downtown we will ROAR through the City of Austin.

For those that have done this they know not only is this one of the hottest car events you will ever be a part of, You can not even guess how the smiles on these kids faces will make you feel.

Now there is one more added kick to this. If you want to bring your own children or significant other with you, we will cover their lunch as well.
There are only two rules.
1) NO WORKS IN PROGRESS OR ANY BODY DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE. These cars must be in 100% top shape, sound and looks.
2) The Sunshine Kids GET SHOTGUN. If you bring a rider with you they MUST ride in the back once the kids are in the car.

There ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES.

yeah they just emailed me earlier today and said they have too many cars also but they said if a car drops out then they would keep us in mind
