What's with the infatuation with a 2.75" pipe? What else have you done to the car that necessitates a larger than stock diameter?

Nothing other then a CAI, but I would like the extra air flow.
I just want a nice sounding exhaust that has some good gains, a single of course.
Throw some cheap suggestions at me.

My question is, why do you want to reduce your exhaust velocity since you don't have any modifications to necessitate the extra flow that a larger diameter exhaust will provide? Reducing your exhaust velocity will only result in the air pump (your engine) working harder to get the velocity back up, reducing actual horsepower.
