Fall Colors Drive Nov 3-5
This event is a repeat of last year's event, which was incredible!
The plan goes like this: we'll leave Austin either 11am Friday 11/3 or 8am Saturday 11/4 (two groups departing), taking the twisty, curvy roads of the Hill Country all day, stopping for lunch and photo ops, finally arriving at Koyote Ranch, outside of Kerrville. If this year is like last, we'll all chip in some cash and assistance for dinner, which was a steak cookout (not sure what this year's menu is). Sunday morning, the group heads out for yet more twisty fun, ending back in Austin.
Koyote Ranch is a great place to stay: cabins have linens and towels, and some have their own bathrooms (others use community restrooms, dorm-style). There is a store there that stocks a decent amount of beer, wine and other things as well.
Everyone who went on this drive last year raved about it. Join us! Let us know that you're planning to come and get your cabin reserved now at www.koyoteranch.com for the evening of Nov 4.
See ya there!

Have to agree, I had an awesome time last year, and I didn't even have my own car w/ me (rode shotgun w/ others since it was in the shop at the time).
Looking forward to doing it again!

There's also thought about leaving out at noon on Fri 11/3 to beat traffic and make it to the destination, allowing us a full day on Sat to drive. Not sure if it's inked yet, but I'd take a half day if it meant I could do a full fun day Sat and part of Sun before heading back home.
