Nice E39 M5. Man i've been driving the Corvette so much it's such a change to jump back into S2000. Can't believe how tight the handling is on this car.

What up guys. Just wanted to introduce myself. I recently inherited a 2005 AP2 and have wasted no time building it. Currently have the motor pulled and am about to send it out to the machine shop to build the heads before installing a full race turbo kit. I haven't seen much of a car scene in Austin other than cars n coffee. Are there any other meets? Any s2k specific austin crews or facebook groups?

I'm new to S2K's but not imports. I also have a turbo'd 350z that I'm converting to a drift build right now.

Nice cars and Welcome!

austin has a unique car scene. there is an s2000 Facebook group, Central Texas S2000 Enthusiast i think it is. What all are you planning on install on your head?

Thanks mate. Just ordered Ferrea double valves springs, valves, retainers & guides. Currently debating between ARP or FBM head studs.

Neither. Stick with OEM head bolts. the aftermarket ones are all junk, and all of them cannot even take the factory torque specification, then multiply all that by 16 bolts. read up man, you are buying a LOT of thing people who have spent the money DO NOT RECOMMEND. read up on billman250 's post history. aftermarket valve train is down grade for just about every single part. but you car your money. figured i'd just let you know.

OEM head studs are being used by many many 600+hp turbo charged guys on here.

just ordered some Firestones Indy 500s for Seans CR. 225/45/17 and 255/40/17, looking forward to how they look on 8j and 9j. they run narrow on 18's sizes, looking forward to seeing how they may work out with a 255/40/17 all around on my 9.5j

Welcome! What machine shop are you sending it to? I'm always hoping to find recommendations for things on the south side; right now for just about any sort of work that I can't do or am to lazy to do myself I have to drive up to Round Rock.

JD Machine out West of austin near hamilton pool is a good spot, he's worked on some SBC parts for me in the past, including threadserting a head for alternator bolts that decided to break.
