holy crap! i frequented the oasis when i lived in austin and always ate there when i was down for some fun on limecreek road. cant imagine seeing it burning...

now since they charged an arm and a leg for food, they have enough money to rebuild.

 

Yea I was just there for graduation party 2 weekends ago. Looks like lightning took it out and you're right. It was better back in the day before it became "UPSCALE".

 

There was some incredible footage on the news of it burning at night! Apparently, the owner had "fire retardant" applied to the multiple wood decks, but it was over three years ago.
I really didn't go there, can't get there by boat!
He is to rebuild ASAP.
