Maybe not... if you read the thread closely, you'll notice that the OP's father in law manages the shop. Ripping your wife's father a new one can have some very costly consequences!

The fact that his father in law knew to begin with that it was an exotic tells me the father in law understands. I would not attack the father in law, but I would give the workers a piece of my mind. This belongs on the show "History's Greatest Blunders." It amazes me how someone that is supposed to possess technical skills can be so ignorant.

But you raise a good point... if you can't trust your father in law's shop, who can you trust?
