Hey guys,

I got my top slashed and seats stolen last night from my parking garage. Bastards.
I took really good care of the car and the seats were perfect. Car is on the way to Gillman. How much is a new top and seats?

The seats are beyond expensive new.Luckily you have an 07 so the value of your car is up there and your insurance wont total it out.

Dam Civic owners with their hunger to own our seats.

Thanks for replying. I've been searching and it looks like the seats are like $7000 to $8000 new. I hope I don't get screwed somehow by Geico.

Sometimes insurance will give you money for used oem parts.Even on ebay those seats are expensive though.I have no idea why they are so expensive at the dealer but that is why older cars get totaled out so fast.Search houston imports parts for sale.They usually have a pair for sale.They go for around $600 tops.

That sucks dude. Now I feel paranoid.... I can't see over the steering without the seat! Good thing I can see my car right outside the window:and the cops patrol the neighbor hood pretty often.

Ouch! Our seats are so expensive because they are made by recaro. Alex is right. Your car is newer so the value of the seats and top won't total it out. Generally speaking, the insurance will try to give you money for used oem seats first. Don't settle and insist on brand new seats. Top with labor is around 1800-2000. Gillman will say they don't work on tops and insist you go to a third party but their mechanics are supposedly trained on installing it.

I'd see if I could get keep the money and buy aftermarket seats. You can pick up some nice Brides for a lot less than new OEM seats.

Cust came in a few months ago with an 07 with around 2k miles.

seats stolen and top slashed total was around 16k
