Default Car Updates

SO .. as most of you know, I popped my motor a lil while ago. Well, while its been down Iv done some small stuff and just wanted to post up some pics. I was going to have IP build me a new one with some other goodies but after seeing what it will cost I'm thinking about going another way with it. Im just going to put a low mileage 2.2 back in it but run IP Fuel return kit with a Bosh044 inline and ID 1000's so I can run E85. With my 6265 turbo , im sure Ill be happy in the end. My new goal will only be 450hp but Ill be happy with 400 if it will be a safer tune. I do have a question for ya'll... Would I make more power with a Ram Horn Mani (safer) or should I just stay with my IP log on the E85? Im going to take it to T1 in Dallas for the tune. Well... like I said , here are some pics of some side work iv done to her.

(Wire Tuck/Battery Relocation)
So I did a wire tuck and battery relocation. As you can see I ran all the wires threw the fire wall and into the fender. I did have to extend most of the wires but I was super safe ( wire connectors then Heat shrink then electrical tape then plastic wire cover then last 2 more covers of electrical tape over that). I checked volts/amps/everything over and over and all is great. You cant see it in the pics but there is an 100amp fuse block for the 0G power wire. I then sanded the paint down to the metal and filled in all the holes. Did some more sanding / primer / sanding / primer / painting / clear-coating and last a few coats of wax. I added a battery switch to the fire wall. I also did the Heater hose relocation and stated the AC relocation as you can see in the pics. When that was done I finished my car audio in the trunk. You can see in one of the pics the (0G) power and ground wires on the right hand side of the trunk. Thats where my new battery box will be.

Hope ya'll like

our freindly neighborhood CO should chime in. are you talking about the full race mani, right? for your powergoals it would be way more efficient then the typical log style. run less boost, and get the same HP.

how hard was it to wire tuck the passenger side. always wanted to do that but, wiring scares me.

It was hard at 1st because it was my 1st time doing it. I didn't know where to put what or how long everything would need to be. The rewiring part was ez for me. If I had to do it again I could do it in no time. You wouldn't think it but the battery switch on the fire wall was the most pain. There is no room behind the dash to work with 0-G wire way up there. If you really are thinking about it, I'm up to do it again and have way more then every tool needed. It will cost you about about $150 in stuff (wire, fuse block, connectors, battery switch ect. That does not cover new battery (dry cell), battery box and body work to clean it up. You can stop by and take a look at it when you get some time. I'm leaving the fender off until the new motor is in in case I pop a fuse plugging every thing in.

Ram horn will make more power than the log but I wouldnt spend the extra money . A log will hit the 400 goal easy enough.

If you are going to use T1 for the tune hit him up a month in advance at the least . He is a very busy man
