Found a local souce for Eyelids for $2

So I'm walking through the new Lowe's and see this RED duct tape and I wonder. Would this work? Of course it will work! We do this at every John Eagle Honda Texas World Speedway event.

Well, this is what the end result was after a grueling 2 minutes of pulling the tape out, applying it to the lens, and trimming off the excess.

Yeah, I know it probably looks like $2, but who cares.

Good eye! I picked up some tape while I was getting some of that "solid color in a spray can" stuff. I'm trying my hand at painting my own lip.:eek3: Why get it professionally done when it will look magnificently speckled in a week. Fiberglass, paint, and rock chips don't play well together.

I might unveil the new look later on this week if my paint job looks better than that familiar speckled look.

joe? you are going to paint your own lip???? Hell i have a bad ass airbrush, wouldnt mind helping you, but the clearcoat is tough to do. I have a little exp. in airbrushing,( i airbrushed my helmet) but im game if you are

racer-rob, I know this is a big favor to ask for someone I don't know.

Would you happen to come to the tech day and airbrush 2 little scratches on my rear spoiler I just bought? I have the touch up paint as well. Let me know i'll pay you for your time as well.

Rob,

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it.

For my current project, I'm trying not to spend too much time and effort. The paint job will get destroyed within 2 weeks of my normal driving. I may have to look into applying a STONGARD type of material when I get it done professionally.

Thanks,
Joe
