Default Good machine shops for engine rebuild in Houston?

[size="4"][size="3"]Hey Guys,

New to this forum. I was wondering if anyone know any good machine shops for an engine rebuild.

I think over-revved my engine. Just did a leak down test and valves are leaking air really bad. (40% from what I remember).

Anyway, I was thinking since I have to rebuild the head anyway. Might as well rebuild the block assembly.

If you guys know of any good shops around let me know.

Thanks

Would be cheaper to buy a used engine and just drop it in. I have not heard of any machine shop in town worth trusting

Also, it just came to mind that there has been a few members who have used G&G performance in Magnolia.

I recently had my flywheel resurfaced at Scroggin's Machine. When I mentioned it was an S2000, he told me that he knew how to handle the FRM cylinders on these things. I would trust them if I were doing a build, they have a good reputation and I liked what I saw. Of course, YMMV.

Curt Raulen @ TrackTime Performance

Do a search here on the forums for his name and reputation. He knows the F20C/F22C front to back and can do any internal work you deem necessary.

Thanks for the info.

How much do you think inlinepro would charge if I get my block re-sleeved?

I used scroggins machine shop for mine. Got it bored (already have sleeves in) , decked, Pistons put on rods, ring gap filed, crank journals micro polished. Everything came out perfect. Good people to deal with and the company I work for uses them all the time also

Can they hone FRM sleeves?

I talked to Westside Machine, and they don't wanna hone an FRM sleeve since last time they honed one, they had problems getting the rings to seal.
