Heading down to S.Padre this weekend

stop by dirty AL for lunch. right when you cross the bridge to go onto the island, make a right on the main street. it's on the right side. sea food is sick and price is around $7-12. it's a local place.

Just been there recently. If you plan on staying in a hotel, make reservations ahead of time. Saves you time on hunting and pricing.
If you plan on para-sailing or renting jet ski's goto "Coconuts". Its 65.00 for 1/2 hour on the Jet ski's with 100.00 cash deposit per ski. Located on the bay side on Laguna blvd.
2 Restaurants that I thought were pretty good:
-Blackbeard (beach side - padre blvd)
-Scampi (bayside - Laguna blvd)
Plenty of liquor stores down there if you feel the need to party, however they're much more expensive than Spec's.

I live about 40 minutes away but never get a chance to go. I like eating at black beard's. Its a nice restaurant with descent prices. I'll ask around and let you all know.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Wife and I had an absolute blast.
We actually stayed a condo owned by my wife's boss. It's probably one of the older ones on the island.
Day 1:
Ate at Blackbeard's for lunch ... awesome burger.
Ate at Scampi's for dinner. Probably had one of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten. And their peanut butter shrimp (which they're supposedly known for) was excellent.
Day 2:
Ate at Yummie's for breakfast. Terrific baked goods.
Ate at Amberjack's for lunch. Also a great crab cake.
Wish we could have stayed longer, but I thing we squeezed all the fun we could out the trip.
Thanks again, guys.
